We had a surprise birthday party for Chels <3 This girl stays at Leavey too damn much, so we wanted to surprise her at her dorm but NOOOO she has to be at the library studying... Ohwells, at least everything worked out in the end. In other news, Hemmie has officially moved out of my room and into the room next door!!! :) :) Now we're all suite mates, it's like we struck gold <3

Me and Amanda being Jewmeisters at the Arcadia Harvest Moon Festival. We queued a couple of times to get these free smoothies from the Maccas booth. In our defense, they were honestly pretty dam good! That was a pretty good day, we got really good bubble tea from Honeyboba (best I've had since I got here)  and chilled with the rest of the CASA members. Amanda didn't wanna go for Sara Bareilles with me, and whilst on the way to Arcadia, I randomly mentioned it and found myself 2 concert buddies OH YEAH. So Colbie Calliat and Sarah Bareilles here i come!! :) :) My colbie tickets also arrived in the mail today, so today is turning out to be a pretty damn good day.  

 The most legit surprise birthday party I've been to here! This is the common room of the suites (4 rooms to one common room) and we managed to squeeze everyone in here. No candles on the cake tho, cause we were afraid of setting off the fire alarm -.- Apparently someone hit the sprinkler last year and the water seeped 3 floors down and they had to pay 30k in damages... Not so cool.

I love how parties here all have themes... and EVERYONE dresses up according to the themes. It's so fuckin legit!! We went to a toga party the night before.. so much fun ^^

Today

I felt homesick, so I took out all the letters my friends wrote for me when I was leaving and read them all through once more. I miss everyone back home (some of which have started their own endeavours), but December will come soon enough.

My skype dates this week

 

I love how technology makes the world so much smaller. It definitely doesn't beat hanging out in real life, but when you're halfway across the world, I guess this is best we can do! I had a skype date with Lailin and before we knew it, 3hours had passed. It's like it was back to old times where we would nua in the pool and talk about everything shallow and deep. Can't wait for smiaoz to be back home so that the 3 of us could skype together. <3 <3 Auds xt and york are all over in the UK now and we randomly decided to skype. I love those retards, and xt and her damned apple. December will come soon.

I miss us back home, where we would drink, get drunk, puke it all out, sleep on the toilet bowl/ in the toilet, and then everything will be fine. Here, things are so much more complicated, there's the RAs, the DPS and all these iffy people who think that every small thing is alcohol poisoning. Back home, it's like "alcohol poisoning? wtf?!" We just drink, puke, sleep, repeat. People here are so much cautious cause they hear all these horror stories. But the truth is that, most of the time, it really isn't that bad.

In other news,
I just watched the most intense game of football today. There were so many gazillion instances of ref kayu, and wtf moments. But in the end, GOOOO TROJANS!! Oh yeah, we won ^^

Highlights of the Week

Went for the very first game of the season, this shall become an (almost) weekly event since all of us bought season tickets, eggciting stuff. I sat beside a useless Jenny so she didn't know nuts about the game but next time I shall sit next to someone who actually knows something. The Trojans were owning butt till half time (19-3!!) and we left to do some shopping. And the final score was 19-17, WTF?!?!?! How the hell did THAT happen. I really enjoyed it though, pretty much the whole stadium was filled, with everyone decked out in cardinal and gold. This is us before the burn.

Possible the BEST party I've been to since I've been here, on and off the row. The music the speakers the lights and the drinks. Best part: Every damn thing is free oh yeahhh ~ They kinda ran out of drinks at the end but ohwells, whatever.

So many things were going on, I had to decide which to go for. So happy I chose this tho. The beach is fuckin ass cold but it got better as the clouds cleared up and the sun shone through. Bbq by the beach and just tossing footballs around. Everyone was trying to convince me to get into the water but I'm like, HELLL NO. A mountain of sand for like 10 seconds of water time? No thank you.

Hemmie got her hand stuck in the hinge of the door. Or rather, James was trying to lock her out and she tried to stop him and in the midst of it all... Her fingers got caught inside, and helllll does it look painful. I am never playing with the Marks tower doors. Or any doors in fact. All the boys are trying to learn to longboard now but they all fail (ha ha drewl). We found this chain in Boston's room so we decided to take it and hook it to the bike so that we could cruise on the longboard with it. SO SO SO SO FUN. It looks lame as hell but it was pretty damn awesome.

 Now, THIS, was just hilarious. Boston was sleeping on the couch and then started falling off the couch in slow motion. During which, I managed to tell everyone so we all watched as he fell off the couch in slow mo. Wish I had a video cause it was friggin epic, no joke.

So, that was my week.
I made up my mind and then changed my mind so many times during this week, I'm starting to not feel like myself. I never used to change my mind so frequently but now, I think I've (finally) decided what's important to me and what will let me gain the most from my Freshman year. I finally got around to working out my finances so hopefully I don't run out of money!! -crossin fingers here. I am also currently sick and basically wasted my whole labour day public holiday :( I rolled around in bed all day and slept for most of it whilst drowning my body with meds. Body, be good and get well soon!!!!!

Home

Everything is so different in this new environment. I'm sitting in my dorm right now waiting to go out for dinner, and I miss everyone back home so much. I miss going out every single day, with no care for how to get there, how to get back. Cabs/ Public transport is so cheap. I honestly never appreciated sg's public transport, but now I know why everyone says that it's bloody awesome. I don't even know how the buses here work!!! I miss eating anything I felt like, anyone up for crab? Most of all, I miss the comfort of all the people that I've known and loved for the past few years. It's not that I'm not enjoying myself here, I love it here, it's just that sometimes, its hard. I have a friend over here that reminds me so so much of Giddy (Buff wong), if you're reading this Giddy, I miss you :')

Two days ago, I tried skyping with Lailin, but her retard of an ipad wouldn't work. So we ended up whatsapping for a good hour, about anything and everything. Just like how our weekly pool nuaing sessions would go. It felt like old times, just that this time, we were on opposite sides of the world. Today, my prof in Social Justice brought up the topic of discussing philosophical topics with your friends whilst high or with the aid of (-OH) or even whilst just chilling. Reminded me of Laiz so so much I was smiling in class thinking of all the good times. I mean, sometimes our conversations bordered on bimbotic and shallow and superficial, but fuck that man. You gotta do what you gotta do. This picture was from when we watched Supersize Me, got so hungry, started drooling and decided to order some Macs. That show obviously did not deter us from anything.

Also, I seem to be having really good luck these days. My room mate now owes me 10 bucks HA HA HA. Life is all good.

So.. I was really lazy to walk and I got Amanda to put me on her handlebars as we rode to EVK for waffles (which have USC printed on them, wtf right hahaa) We weren't sitting the conventional way, so I faced her and she had to ride it zig zag cause she couldnt see shit with me there LOL. Let's just say we attracted a hell lot of stares cause of our omega ass loud laughs as well as the fact that we looked so funny heh. Headed to the Sigmas even after that and then Sammy's for a night of crazy ass fun. First time ever playing beer pong. It's such a huge thing here and I mean we've heard of it, but no one actually plays it cause it's way too much work. Just another night here at USC.
