Third Ave

Some things don't change. I found myself back at Third Ave, trudging up the hill to bring myself to Lailin's grams doorstep. Once again, KFC delivery is our best friend and we nua by the pool whilst having eggtarts and fried chicken. The sun wasn't being very kind, but at least it didn't rain so that's that. Our poor pasty selves really need that tan but ohwells ~ It's so great to be able to talk to someone about everything under the sun, and when there's no need to try to find a conversation topic. Everything just flows. I can't wait to travel with you, IT'S GOAN BE EPIC.

Tonight was supposed to be such an exciting night but all our plans fell shorts cause everyone psed at the last minute. Sigh. Also... I kinda passed out at 930pm and just woke up LOL. Ooops, I keep saying that I ain't jetlagged but well, I guess I kinda am. Okay, the yawns are getting more frequent and my tummy is growling. Guess it's time to go back to bed LOL

Time

They say life in Singapore is extremely hectic. Life in a big city always is. Everyone steps up their walking pace, everyones always rushing somewhere, having something to do, somewhere to be. I agree with all of that. But then again, I somehow feel like I have so much more time here. Everything seems to slow down and as I sit here on the bus, looking out the window watching the green, I let my thoughts wander and let them go crazy. These bus rides to and fro are just a few of the many things  that I miss so much when I'm at SC. I have time to reply all the texts that come in, asking how do I do and where we should meet for dinner. I never have to look at it and remember to reply it later. I plug in my earphones and everything feels right. There are no hobos that would ask me for money, or dirty chairs that I have to avoid. I know this system in and out, I don't have to be afraid of getting lost.

Don't get me wrong, I love SC. It just feels good to be home. Today, I'm having some "me" time. Haircut, new stud, and running all the errands that I need to and then dinner with Marco. Its been so long but I know that everything will fall back into place the moment I see his stupid face and give him a big fat hug. Life is good :)

Foodie Adventures

Suffering from a small bout of jetlag and I can't get to bed so I'm just gonna write a little down. Everything here is so familiar, it's so nice to be in a place where I know exactly where I am, exactly where everything is and not have to rely on the GPS. Headed to Clementi for my first meal back home and got those nomnoms in my tummy. Fish soup doesn't get any better than that. Some alc and then off to Adam with my downzys. Sambal stingray, char kway teow, and hokkien mee. Yum yum yum yum.

Also, can I say how much I love being back home where I'm actually legal to buy some booze. IT FUCKIN ROCKSSS. Granted I now have to pay for it and I have no frat parties to leech it off from, but it feels so good not having to rely on other people to supply the booze. Life is good. I must say, Drew is also pretty good at making those drinks. Had a brain tumour and buttery nipple (LOL) for the first time. Yum yum. I like that.

Today, I'm gonna get myself some curry rice and hopefully head down to Old Airport Road with Geronimo. Feels good to be home.

Home Sweet Home

Where I can wear shorts and tshirts everyday, walk around in slippers without freezing. Have the public transport be safe and knowing how to get from place to place without korean cabs. No hobos around to scare me outta my wits. Nice, clean environments. My ultra fast elevator that goes to the 23rd floor in seconds. Awesome food within walking distance. Awesome food not within walking distance. Asian food. Chicken wings. Newton on drunken nights. Nuaing in 3rd Ave. Chilling with my downzys. Nights out with 11ofus. Class party jet lagged. Finally not having to scrimp and save every cent due to the damned college student budget. I'm so excited to be home.

Sitting and my desk and about to start procrastination part 2, but it's all good. 

Nothing much has really happened in the past couple of weeks and I'm actually fine with that. There's this sudden emptiness in my life, oh it's tuesday! Wait... no frisbee or dance. Thursday tomorrow! Gotta wake up at 6! JUST KIDDING no more morning practice. I had gotten so used to practice that it's so weird not having it anymore. Study break has been good to me and I feel like I have a pretty good finals schedule, apart from the fact that I'm gonna be here all by my lonesome self on thursday when everyone has gone home.... But whatever, hopefully I get bumped up to biznas class (fingers crossed!!!) and then I can have an awesome sleep the whole way home. Or I could stay in economy and still sleep the whole way home too, I'm cool like that.

My life is never going to be that fairytale and everything that I want it to be. Guess I just need to suck it up and lower my expectations. On a side note, I am hungry.

Went for Ej/Alex's dance perf yesterday and it was AHMAZING. Worth every dollar of my 5 bucks! Sometimes I wish I could dance like that and I'm like... nah, that just cramps my style haha. Holding out for a hero is also on repeat right now, it's such a beautiful song.

Thanksgiving

Let's just say my thanksgiving was nothing short of AMAZING.

First off, Judy and I had a speshull date with Ellie Goulding and Katy Perry. We actually had pretty decent seats but Ellie Goulding was playing and judy really wanted to be right in front of her, so we moved to these other seats which were waaaay close. The people who owned the seats didn't even appear till halfway through katy perry so OH YEAH. Plus, we saw Kobe Bryant who was two rows behind us, say whut?!?!

 

 DANCE OFF.

Yet another one of those things that I'm so thankful for and so glad that I did. All the friends I made + the crazy shit that we went through together. Plus the fact that we're suffering from PDOTS right now, and the funnyass tumblr ha ha ha. We killed it on stage and even though we were one position away from placing, in my heart you guys will always be numero uno.

I spent my first actual thanksgiving with Chelsea and her fam. Yummy food, awesome company, what else could I ask for? Me and rach ptfo-ed due to the food coma and we have a whole series of pictures that Sidney took.... great job guys. 

Black Friday shopping started at 1am for me this year. We waited in life till 4am where urban opened and managed to snag such great deals it was totally worth it. They all came back with these huggeeee ass piles of clothing and I was like ?!?!!??! It was amazing. I am seriously not gonna buy anything for the longest time cause whenever I wanna buy something, I'm like OH WAIT i bought this at black friday for 5 bucks THIS IS NOT WORTH IT. Lol, it's good for me i guess.

Slowing checking things off my bucket list one by one, life is so exciting right now I'm so happy being where I am. Also, I've got Summer and Winter 2012 all planned out, it's gonna be an awesome year. LET'S GO!

Halloween

My Halloween weekend was one of epicness. We started early cause Lindsay decided to buy us pumpkins that we could decorate our suites with, that was pretty interesting to say the least. I don't think I would mind being an RA, but then again, you're secluded and away from all your friends... Ultimate sleepover after that where I carved my first pumpkin ever!!! Omg, it was so pretty I was really proud of myself, you would think that it's easy to carve but nooooo the skin is so crazy thick and the insides are so full of shit that you have to scrape stab like crazy before getting anything done. I really like the whole Halloween atmosphere here, every holiday is a huge occasion and everyone gets so pumped up for it, there's free food and candy everywhere on campus. I also realised that the whole campus is a goldmine for jewdogs, free food free tshirts free everything EVERYWHERE. Just need to ride along in school for longer periods of time and grab everything that you can trololol.

After bugging Amanda for the longest time ever, she finally brought me back to Diamond Bar and we spend the whole 12hours together, what a date <3 Heeheehee. Also, Amanda's parents were interrogating me about my backpackng trip cause this smartass Amanda decided to tell them. It was interesting to say the least. We decided to go to boiling crab to eat and omg.... this omness is epic, I LUVS IT!! We came back smelly and exhausted and were like, omg we need to crash right now, only to be met with people all dressed up in the hall, going for the Halloween party at Ian and Kevens. So much for sleeping. This night ended so many hours later than we originally intended it for, but it didn't get shut down and it was soooo worth it haha.

Okay back to bed. I just whatsapped/bbmed the downzys and meggin and it totally made my morning. But for now, I shall head back to bed to catch some zzzs before waking up to study/ go for class. NIGHTYNIGHTTTT ~
